No-one Can be the Slave or Subject of Another

An essential consequence of the respect of humanity means that no human being should be the subject or slave of another human being. Everyone should be accorded equal freedom. The clear decision of the Quran on this issue is:

It is not (possible) that a man, to whom is given the Book, and Wisdom and Nabuwwat (messenger-hood), should say to people: ‘Be you my servants, rather than of Allah’…(Quran 3:79)

In a society, no judiciary or executive has the right to use any individual of the society under their own will, nor in the world of religion leaving aside all others, has even a Nabi the right to make people his servants and subservient to him. The freedom of every person and respect for this freedom is a fundamental and Permanent Value which cannot be overturned under any circumstances.
